HABERDASHERIE

Whenever a new shop opens in my neck of the woods, I pay attention. When one of my friends opens a shop, I not only pay attention, but I also tend to spend a good amount of time there, especially when that friend is someone I have always admired for her style! Ruthie McRonald is just such a person, and Haberdasherie is just such a shop! 

Ruthie and I have been in a Book Group together for over 15 years now and we share a lot of the same tastes....for books, wine, food, fashion and beautiful things for our homes. Ruthie was the manager of the tasting room for Andis Winery for many years in gorgeous Amador county (they are one of my favorite wineries in Amador BTW!) But she had a dream of opening a home goods shop and she has made that dream a reality. There is nothing quite like a determined woman to just make something happen! 

Ruthie's style is as infectious as her smile....casual, fresh, comfortable, natural, fun, and very pretty! All the things I love in my day to day living. And she has captured that style in Haberdasherie...

She has comfy pillows and throws, frosty beach glass vases, unique table linens, beautiful towels, really fun dish ware, candles, perfect serving pieces, hand blown glass and barware, gift cards and journals for that special someone, macrame chair swings (gotta have one!), tote bags, cool jewelry, and other gift items that are just right when you need that little something for the host or hostess.....

There are art pieces, planters, lanterns, one of a kind furniture pieces.......

Best of all....there is Ruthie....always a smile, always a kind conversation.... always ready to help you fall in love with a little something new for your home......

So stop on by! Haberdasherie is located at  2318 J Street in Sacramento, a shopping destination for unique, independently owned boutiques along the tree lined streets of Midtown Sacramento,  (it is the place to be, if one tires of the Big Box and Shopping Mall mayhem!)
