Spring means the San Francisco Showcase

Last week was a whirlwind of activity....client meetings and projects, birthday celebrations (Tim is yet another year older!) , the new month's magazine perusals to name a few.

But something I look forward to every year at this time is the San Francisco Decorator Showcase, and I had the pleasure of touring the home last week. I am excited to be able to share it with you!

Let's start at the beginning...the entry. The Entry Garden and Portico was designed by Davis Dalbok of Living Green. In partnership with Plants on Walls, the team created a vertical garden with succulents. I loved the huge urn with the succulent bouquet in the middle of the formal boxwood hedges!

The vertical garden created a gorgeous focal point leading to the stunning portico.  Marble floors restored by the late Luciano Tempo create a cool oasis with fern lined vertical gardens. The amazing lighting was designed by Luciano as well contributing to the fantasy. A peaceful Buddha and a pair of beautiful elephants only deepen the dream.

Stepping into the Great Hall designed by Dara Rosenfeld just continues the exotic flavor with its Zebra hide porter chairs and ikat area rug. The Schumacher Indian print wallpaper simply serves to reinforce the fantasy.

Dara used a back painted glass fireplace surround with a pattern echoing the amazing woodwork found in the home....

This is just a peek of the beautiful things Dara has collected for this space. You will have to see it in person to see all of the amazing details like the Jonathan Browning sconces, and the Tony Duquette Gold Toad!

The San Francisco Decorator Showcase is in full swing, so make a date to see it this month!
