San Francisco Decorator Showcase, Dining Room and Terrace

Hello all! I am a bit behind! A little back injury, but I am back in action and determined to show you not only the San Francisco Showcase, but quite a few other design events that have heralded in the Spring Design Season!

Next on the San Francisco Decorator Showcase Tour is the Dining Room!. The Dining Room is the one room that shows the most original architectural detail: rich paneling representing some of the best from the Victorian Aesthetic Movement. The designer, Marysia Rybock of Scavullo Design had fun with the space creating a whimsical fantasyland. A sort of Harry Potter meets Twelfth Night. Marysia clad the fireplace with Spanish Moss, and brought in vibrant silk floral fabrics creating a garden of delights. She used a collection of lavender tables versus the expected single table. It struck me they looked a bit like lily pads with the citron green chair surrounding them. I loved the pendant light made with pearlescent shells.....

A beautiful use of color....

...and great sense of humor! I always like a room that makes me grin! Marysia enhanced the existing frieze with cheeky comments making for an atmosphere of revelry and laughter....

Here is the lovely Marysia Rybock in her element.....

Stepping out of the Dining Room doors, one finds a gorgeous Roof Terrace designed by Frank Holbrook. Citron Green and Coral-y Tangerine with a little Tiger thrown in makes for a bright and happy space. The Thomas Bartlett Furniture Collection looks perfect, and Perennials outdoor fabrics are some of my very favorites.....

Frank added a beautiful canopy where one could have the perfect brunch or soiree with a perfect view of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz in the distance. And the chandelier! Chic......

Could you sit here all day?

We had to push on....after a bit of chocolate of course! Lucky us, we just had to pass by this bit of beauty....the marble topped console with lush Hydrangeas and topiaries....

Thank you Frank Holbrook for such an inspiring space!

There is much more to come, but I think a trip in person is in order!
